Postpartum Mental health

What does it mean to engage patients in their care? We are using emotional journey mapping, a technique based on human centered design, to learn about different community members’ experiences of postpartum mental health, so that we can design and offer interventions that best align with their needs

Our goal is to improve mental health for postpartum people. We want every postpartum person in New Hampshire to get quality mental health care that serves their needs. First, we listen to postpartum people’s experiences with depression, anxiety, and stress. Next, we identify themes and shared problems. We then team up with postpartum people, healthcare workers, and community members to discuss and design solutions to address these problems.
